I'm a retired former senior executive with Enterprise Ireland. My experience has been working with communities, individuals and manufacturing companies in the areas of project development, job creation, encouraging entrepreneurship etc. Since I retired, (younger than retirement age) I set up my own part time business in the artistic area which has been great for me and the students involved and wasn't really about financial gain for me. I've been a Rotary Member and elected Rotarian of the Year for my funds raising organisation and achievements. , With three art friends I instigated a very successfully art-centre at Marymount Hospice and we four ladies run it weekly and fund raise to keep it operational. It's running for 6 years and is a major resource for terminally ill patients who find painting a great distraction from their circumstances and live for their weekly classes. They create gifts to leave behind and we have been told by some families that their sick family member had a new lease of life.
I continued to do small business mentoring from time to time, in a voluntary capacity.
I feel I have a great deal of skills experience coupled with a mature head and a forward thinking capacity, and would be happy to use them in any capacity I can for the betterment of my community.
I am a quiet but friendly and open person who gets along well with others
